Chase Jarvis is a professional photorapher based out of Seattle, Washington who shares information with image makers. He is an advocate for American Society for Media Photographers (ASMP) and continues to make, promote, and support photography as well as movies too.

ASMP has a digital asset management book out that describes in further detail how photographers should be managing our work. It's availabe on Amazon for $26.37 with free shipping. It's a book definitely worth checking out. There is no excuses for loosing work, especially if you are being paid for your services as a photographer!

SPE Student Scholarships

SPE National is giving away ten student scholarships to help offset the costs of attending the conference in Atlanta, GA on March 10-13. Each scholarship will include

• $500 travel stipend to attend the 2011 SPE national conference
• One-year membership to SPE
• Complimentary 2011 national conference pass
  

The deadline is November 1st which means there is plenty of time to fine tune your work. They are looking for a cohesive body of work consisting of no more than five images, a 200 word artist statement, reasons why the scholarship will benefit you, resume, a description of the conceptual and technical basis of your work, and contact information of a current photography professor.
